How to Generate a Custom Credit Note?

The Custom Credit Note feature allows users to generate a credit note for any customer, regardless of whether they have an active contract.

Method 1: From Contact Listing or Specific Contact Detail Page:
  1. Begin by navigating to the Contact Listing or the specific Contact Detail page for the customer.
  2. A pop-up window will open where you can select the relevant Property and Business.
  3. This will redirect you to the Custom Credit Note page.








Method 2: From Transaction Section:
  1. Go to the Transaction section, then click on Create Credit Note.
  2. Click on Create Credit Note, which will take you to the custom credit note page.
  3. Choose the appropriate Property and Business, and then select the specific contact for whom you want to create the credit note.








Adding Line Items to the Credit Note:
  1. Add Line Item: Click on "Add Item, Add Service, Add Insurance or Add Merchandise" to open a pop-up window.
  2. Enter Item Details: In the pop-up window, provide the following details:
    1. Description: Enter a description of the item or service being invoiced.
    2. Category: (Optional) Select a category from the dropdown menu.
    3. Amount: Enter the amount for the item or service.
    4. Quantity: Specify the quantity of the item or service.




Link Tax and Discount:
  1. If applicable, link the relevant tax and discount to the line item.


Save the Credit Note:
  1. After entering all the necessary information, click Save to generate the custom credit note and an email will be sent to the customer with credit note as an attachment.


This process allows you to create a credit note tailored to any specific customer needs, regardless of their contract status.
