How to Reschedule Move Out?
This guide will walk you through the process of rescheduling a tenant's move-out date. The process is designed to be straightforward, allowing you to adjust the move-out date and handle account settlements with ease.
Step 1: Initiating the Move-Out Reschedule:
1.1. Locate the "Reschedule Move Out" Option:
- Navigate to the Contract Detail Page.
- At the top of the page, find and click on the "Reschedule Move Out" option. This will initiate the process of rescheduling the tenant's move-out date.
Step 2: Rescheduling Move Out and Account Settlement:
2.1. Unit Popup:
- After selecting "Reschedule Move Out," a pop-up window will appear.
- In this window, you can choose a new move-out date using the calendar picker.
- For example, if the tenant initially planned to move out on September 5th but wants to change it, select the new desired date from the calendar.

2.2. User Role-Based Calendar Access:
- The dates available for selection in the calendar picker are based on your user role.
- Owners or Master Admins have full access to the calendar, while other roles may have restricted access, as configured by the Owner role.
2.3. Rescheduling Options:
2.3.1. There are two options available for rescheduling the move-out:
Option 1: Reschedule Move Out:
- This option allows you to simply change the move-out date without settling accounts immediately.
Option 2: Reschedule and Settle Accounts:
- This option lets you reschedule the move-out date and generate a prorated invoice or credit note for account settlement simultaneously.
- Use the toggle button provided to enable this feature.
3.3. Billing and Payment Dates:
- If you select Option 2, you can set a billing date by which the tenant must pay any outstanding invoices.
- The system will automatically generate invoices or credit notes based on the new move-out date and move them to the payment queue if necessary.
- For any credit balance, you may initiate a manual refund.
Step 3: Notification:
- After rescheduling, the tenant will receive an email confirming the new move-out date.
- If there are any outstanding payments, the email will also include a payment link for the tenant to complete the payment.
By following these steps, you can efficiently reschedule a tenant's move-out date, ensuring that all necessary processes, including account settlements, are handled smoothly.
