What is a Prefilled Lease Document and How to Use It?

The Pre-filled Lease Document feature allows you to generate a PDF document with tenant details pre-populated, making it easier to handle manual (pen-and-paper) contract signings. This is especially useful when digital signature is not an option.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Navigate to the Contract Detail Page

  • Go to the specific contract for which you want to generate the document.

  • Click on the “Pre-filled Document” button at the top of the page.

  • A dropdown list will appear with available document types:

    • Lease Contract

    • Terms & Conditions

    • Insurance Terms & Conditions

    • Any other configured templates


Step 2: Select and Customize the Document

  • Click on the desired document from the list.

  • A pop-up window will appear with customization options:

    • Bind Box and Access Code: Choose whether to include the storage unit number and access code.

    • Bind Operator Signature: Include the operator’s digital signature, if needed.

Step 3: Download or Email the Document

You can now choose how to handle the pre-filled document:

  • 📥 Download PDF: Save it locally and print it for the tenant to sign manually.

  • 📧 Email Document: Send the document directly to the tenant’s email address as a PDF attachment from StoRegister.


Step 4: Upload the Signed Document

Once the tenant has signed the printed copy:

  1. Scan the signed document.

  2. Navigate to the “Document” tab within the Contract Detail Page.

  3. Click “Add Document” and select “Lease Document Upload.”

  4. Upload the scanned, signed file to keep it stored with the tenant’s contract.


Notes:

  • This feature is helpful when tenants prefer offline contract handling.

  • Pre-filled details reduce manual errors and ensure consistency with the contract.
