The Schedule Move Out operation is designed for scenarios where a tenant with an active contract provides notice to vacate a unit — either effective immediately or on a future date. The operation respects the required notice period settings and ensures a smooth process for both the operator and the tenant.
There are two ways to perform this action:
Standard Schedule Move Out (Notice Only)
Schedule Move Out with Final Settlement Billing.
Navigate to the Contract
Go to the Contract Detail Page for the tenant.
Access the Actions Menu
Click Actions and select Schedule Move Out.
Select the Unit
Choose the specific unit from the pop-up window.
Set Move Out Details
Choose:
Move Out Date (the date the customer intends to vacate).
Enable the toggle: Process Final Rental Settlement
Click Confirm
You’ll be redirected to the Schedule Move Out Details Page.

Available Security Deposit for refund or adjustment
Move Out Date – Date the tenant will vacate
Transaction Date – Date until which the customer is charged

This section shows:
Outstanding Balance (if any)
Refundable Security Deposit
Prorated Rent Refund or Invoice
System auto-generates an Invoice/Credit Note based on the above
Enable/Disable sending Move Out Schedule Email
Include/Exclude Payment Link in the email
After verifying all details, click Process Move Out.
A confirmation pop-up will appear:
Check the box to confirm move-out.
Click Confirm to complete the operation.
Once the Schedule Move Out process is completed:
The unit and contract status are updated accordingly.
A final invoice or credit note is generated, based on the prorated billing and security deposit adjustments.
A confirmation email is sent to the tenant (if enabled).
A payment link is included in the email (if enabled and the tenant has an outstanding balance).
