How to Reschedule a Tenant’s Move-Out Date?

This guide walks you through the process of rescheduling a tenant’s move-out date in StoRegister. Whether you're simply adjusting the move-out date or performing a full final rental settlement, the system ensures a seamless experience for both operators and tenants.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Navigate to the Contract Detail Page

  • Open the Contract Detail Page for the tenant whose move-out date needs rescheduling.

  • Click on the “Reschedule Move Out” button available at the top of the page.


Step 2: Choose a New Move-Out Date

  • A pop-up window appears with a calendar picker.

  • Select the new move-out date.

Two Scenarios:

A. If "Process Final Rental Settlement" is Disabled:

  • The new move-out date is saved and updated in the contract.

  • No further action is required at this stage.



B. If "Process Final Rental Settlement" is Enabled:

You will be redirected to the Schedule Move Out Details Page, where a detailed summary of the financial settlement will be displayed.


Schedule Move Out Details Page Overview

Left Panel – Box Information

Displays details about the tenant’s current unit:

  • Property Name

  • Rental Price

  • Add-on Subscriptions

  • Security Deposit

  • Last Invoiced Date

  • Outstanding Invoice Balance (with an option to adjust via security deposit)

  • Available Security Deposit for refund or adjustment

Right Panel – Move-Out Configuration

Shows the tenant's new move-out setup:

  • Move Out Date – When the tenant will vacate

  • Transaction Date – Date until which charges apply

  • Editable Charges – Update service or insurance charges as needed

Final Adjustment Summary

Displays the final billing breakdown:

  • Outstanding Balance (if any)

  • Refundable Security Deposit

  • Prorated Rent Refund or Invoice

  • System automatically generates an invoice or credit note

Additional Options

  • Enable/Disable sending the Move Out Confirmation Email

  • Include/Exclude the Payment Link in the email


Final Step: Process the Move Out

  • Click “Process Move Out”

  • A confirmation pop-up will appear

    • Tick the checkbox to confirm move-out

    • Click “Confirm” to complete the operation

What Happens Next?

Once the move-out reschedule is processed:

  • The new move-out date is updated in the contract.

  • A final invoice or credit note is generated based on prorated charges and adjustments.

  • A confirmation email is sent to the tenant (if enabled).

  • A payment link is included in the email (only if enabled and if there's an outstanding balance).
