How to Create a Discount?

The Discount feature allows you to create and manage promotional offers for rent, insurance, services, or merchandise. You can set fixed amounts or percentage-based discounts, and configure their validity and recurrence.

Step-by-Step Guide:

Step 1: Navigate to the Discount Creation Page

  1. Go to Discount → Create Discount.

Step 2: Fill in Discount Primary Details

  • Discount Name – Enter a unique name for the discount.

  • Description – Add a short description of the offer.

  • Discount Type – Choose between:

    • Promo Code Discount – Requires customers to use a code.

    • Promotional Discount – Applied automatically when linked.

  • Discount Entity Type – Select where the discount applies:

    • Rent

    • Insurance

    • Service

    • Merchandise

Step 3: Configure Validity Details

  • Effective Date – The start date for the discount.

  • Validity Till – The end date for the discount.

  • Is Lifetime Validity – Enable if the discount should never expire.

Step 4: Set Discount Period Details

  • Is Recurring – Enable or disable recurrence.

    • If Disabled – Choose a Discount Category:

      • Buy N Get N

      • One-time discount

      • Pay 1 and Occupy

    • If Enabled – Set:

      • Recurring Mode – Period (Month) -based or transaction-based.

      • Number of Occurrences – How many times it applies.

      • Is Lifetime Recurring – Enable for unlimited recurrence.

Step 5: Enter Discount Details

  • Is Percentage – Enable to give a percentage discount, disable for a flat amount.

    • If Enabled – Enter the discount percentage.

    • If Disabled – Enter the flat discount amount.

Step 6: Assign Property Details

  • Enable or disable the properties to which the discount applies from the available list.

Important Note

Once a discount is created, you can only modify its validity dates (Valid Till, or Lifetime Validity). Other details cannot be changed after creation.
